For anyone in the Tacoma area:
Workers at the GI Joe’s store (sporting goods and auto parts) in Puyallup are trying to organize into Local 23. A third of the workers presented their boss with a letter identifying themselves as members of an in-shop organizing committee. A couple of weeks ago, about a dozen Local 23 members went to the store for a mini-Union shopping day. They wore stickers supporting the workers, and spoke with workers while they shopped. We’re doing a somewhat larger activity on Tuesday, April 25, from 11 AM - 6 PM. If you can make it by, come to:
