The question isn’t what PMA sees as the future for the docks and the ILWU but what do WE see as the future and WHAT do we intend to do about it????? What happens WHEN the special master is appointed?? Does this mean the end of Local 13 dispatch hall and the advent of forced automated dispatching??? Does it effectively eliminated all grievence proceedure?? Is that what Miniace meant when he said the ILWU has to embrace the future??

I agree, if the PMA wants to take the ILWU into the future why do they send our work off dock now? (Container, Chassis, Reefer, Tire repair). This is all work pertaing to mechanization of the industry.
