Dear Captain,
This will draw to your attention that given the particularities of loading and discharge of vessels and the high accident rate in these operations, the loading as well as the discharge must be carried out by professionals with recognised ability.
We have found that the recent loading of your company’s vessels does not possess the minimum quality standards which permit an efficient operation, in terms of productivity and bearing in mind that professional stevedores are not being employed in loading, we therefore request that future operations are carried out by professional stevedores, which will guarantee a discharge meeting the requirements for preventing work hazards.
