Let’s make this simple

O. K. let’s make this as simple as possible. First of all don’t confuse Alaska’s health coverage with ours (PCLCD coverage). The issues weren’t the same nor were they in any way related.

Now brother Mulcahy’s arguments would stand up if the old SPD said anything about “lifetime benefits” or “benefits for life”, or “lifetime coverage”. But it don’t. It said:

“Most pensioners retired under the ILWU-PMA Pension Plan and the ILWU-PMA Watchmen Pension Plan have Welfare Plan eligibility for thier lifetime as pensioners.”

This is the language that was eliminated. The language only speaks to “eligibility”. There is no language, nor was there ever any language in any SPD or Plan Document stating there was “coverage” or “benefits” for life. So all that stuff brother Mulcahy wrote goes out the window because it’s based on the premise that the language of the old SPD stated we were covered for life.
