O. K. lets make this as simple as possible. First of all dont confuse Alaskas health coverage with ours (PCLCD coverage). The issues werent the same nor were they in any way related.
Now brother Mulcahys arguments would stand up if the old SPD said anything about lifetime benefits or benefits for life, or lifetime coverage. But it dont. It said:
Most pensioners retired under the ILWU-PMA Pension Plan and the ILWU-PMA Watchmen Pension Plan have Welfare Plan eligibility for thier lifetime as pensioners.
This is the language that was eliminated. The language only speaks to eligibility. There is no language, nor was there ever any language in any SPD or Plan Document stating there was coverage or benefits for life. So all that stuff brother Mulcahy wrote goes out the window because its based on the premise that the language of the old SPD stated we were covered for life.
