That’s a good report that Brother Mead gives on President McWilliams. As one who prides himself on hearing both sides I would ask though where was President McWilliams when the candidates presented themselves to the memberships of Locals 13 and 63? It could be said that it was a loss to McWilliams in not being heard but it was a grater loss to the membership and to the democratic process. Knowledge denied is power denied. It is unconscionable for the leader of a democratic union not to present himself to the rank and file. Tell me he’s dying of cancer and all is forgiven.
