Roger Boespflug, President of the Puget Sound Area LRC, has called on all rank-and-file ILWU activists in the Puget Sound area who want to help form a Charleston Defense Committee to come to the next longshore Area LRC meeting. This includes IBU, warehouse and all other ILWU members.
The meeting will be at 10 AM on Monday, April 23, at the World Trade Center, 3600 Port of Tacoma Road, Tacoma, just off I-5.
Before the official business of the Area LRC, there will be a brief discussion of the Charleston Five. Those who want to help form a defense committee will then meet separately from the Area LRC to make plans for a Puget Sound committee.
