Barely a day after the talks which could have put an end to the dockers’ stoppage in the Port of Santos, tension rose with discussions between union leaders, the Port Authority, and representatives of companies which continued to offload bulk cargo despite the strike. Yesterday morning, the demonstrators surprised the “Artemis” discharging soya by machine, at Warheouse 39.

The dockers who are camped out in front of Warehouse 23 since yesterday, immediately prohibited the discharge.
