Remembering Ole

I was deeply upset to find out that Ole Møller had died of a heart attack. Yet another of the best, like Paco and Gianni, has been lost to his family, friends and comrades of the international dockworkers’ movement that we are building. I fondly recall Ole, after a few beers at our international dockers’ conferences, soulfully belting out the ballad of a Danish docker. He represented the salt of the earth or more to the point the salt of the waterfront. Ole was a true militant dockworker- rebellious, outspoken and committed to the cause of internationalism. He will be dearly missed. In remembrance of Ole let us take up the challenge to recruit more dockworkers to the IDC. He would have wanted it that way.
