A legal dispute between Ports of Auckland and striking watersiders goes to the Employment Court today.

The ports company claims the Waterfront Workers Union breached the law requiring good faith bargaining when it issued a strike notice during compulsory mediation.

Up to 250 members of the union plan to strike from 7 am tomorrow to 7 am on Saturday.
