Harry Bridges: San Francisco Festivities

TO ALL MEMBERS, FAMILY, AND FRIENDS,

On Saturday July 28, 2001 Harry Bridges’ 100th Memorial Birthday at 9 a.m. at MUSIC CONCOURSE PARK at Market St. & Steuart St.

Mayor Willie Brown, Vice-President of the SF Port Commission, and members of the Bridges family will dedicate the Harry Bridges Plaza on the Embarcadero in San Francisco.

The dedication of Harry Bridges Plaza is to be followed by a parade along the Embarcadero, and festivities at Local 10.

Schedule -

9 a.m. - Dedication of Harry Bridges Plaza [Market and Steuart Streets]

10 a.m. - Parade from Harry Bridges Plaza to Local 10, [motorized cable cars will be provided for those with difficulty making the walk] [the Parade will start at the Embarcadero and Market St. - Walk North on the Embarcadero to North Point. - Turn on to North Point and proceed to Local 10]

12 noon - FOOD & FESTIVITIES at Harry’s Local hosted by Local 10, the Bay Area Longshoremen’s Memorial Association and the ILWU PENSIONERS CLUB.

7 p.m. - 11 p.m. - NCDC Bridges Birthday Cruise [leaves pier 41 at 7 p.m. - don’t miss the boat]
