The Port commission will be voting again to privatize the waterfront operations on Sept. 11th. The 30 day reprieve was only to give the appearance that they were willing to look into their managers’ lies and manipulations and to try lay more blame on labor.

We are to be their first victims in their renewed battle against labor. When millionairs aka the Port of Seattle commission are allowed to control the public’s assets without accountability they will give away the farm and our jobs to their cohorts in the private sector.

Join us in a rally and march on the Port of Seattle and into their commissioners meeting on September 11th. If they are allowed to complete their plans it will be a tremendous blow to labor in the State of Washington and our great nation. If we fail to mobilize and stop this attack on labor and the citizens you and your jobs WILL be next. Let history be written saying that labor and citizens united to stop this attack by greedy corporations. The Port was formed to protect us against the private corporations that had a strangle hold on our economy, don’t let them take it back!

Please join us at 12:00, September 11th in the parking lot of the IBEW. (2700 1st street Seattle Wa) Bring your families, friends and neighbors, this will impact everyone. An injury to one is an injury to all. Do not let them Privatize and Monopolize our assets!

The Brown Act is a California state law and so does not apply in Washington state. Is there a similar open government law in Washington?

When it comes to public funds they have to reveal everything under the “BROWN ACT”.
