Everyone in the ILWU should take great pride in the role we played in this struggle and attaining this victory. This struggle united different unions and human rights organizations and activist in struggle to attain a common goal, in different parts of the country, as well as internationally. besides the San Francisco Bay Area, and the Puget Sound Area, defense committes were established throughout the country, in New York, Boston, Chicago, Washington, DC, and Atlanta, GA, just to name a few places.
