On 20 January 1997, dockers around the world shut down their industry in solidarity with sacked Liverpool dockers. Despite the growing popularity of the dockers' cause, most of the media ignored this historic event.

This unique video was shot by Liverpool dockers and independent video makers in Liverpool, San Francisco, Tokyo, and Stockholm. As dockers and environmental activists occupy the grain terminal and faxes pour in from around the world, dramatic footage from the Liverpool picket line is intercut with mass meetings in Tokyo, an interview with a dockers' leader in Sweden where all dock work has stopped, and a confrontation with the British Consul in San Francisco.

The video was edited by “Labor Beat”, a Chicago cable TV programme reporting news from the American trade union movement, and has been widely distributed in the US.

All proceeds from the sale of “All for One” go to the Port Shop Stewards Appeal Fund.
