Dear Mr. Nolan and Mr. Davies,
I am writing this letter to thank you for the correspondence and video tape that you sent back with Brother Willie Adams following his visit in August.
I was proud to make the motion to have the ILWU Longshore division support the September 8th International day of action by stopping work on the second shift of that day and having the International create a press release to clearly express the reason for this action was in support for the Liverpool Dockers.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for your hospitality in regards to ILWU members who have visited and witness first hand your struggle.
I will be sending this letter to you via Brothers Willie Adams and Arnie Williams. Both men are valued members of Local 23 who currently are serving on a committee vital to the interests of our Local. Both have served our Union well in other capacities in the past. They are joining you on their own incentive but we are looking forward to a full report from both of them upon their return.
With solidarity and best wishes in your fight for dignity for the worker.
Sincerely,
Lee Brach
President
