Richard Flint wrote, forwarding a letter from Kees Marges, which read in part:

This gives rise to some questions:

"Everybody involved" - Who does Mr Marges believe to be involved? Everyone supporting the Liverpool dockers? Other dockers taking strike action or making some other protest? Some more narrowly defined group of people?

"Existing information on ITF's position" - Does this include Mr Heyman's letter? If so, this reveals the need for some explanation. How did the British consul gain the impression that the ITF was not supporting the Liverpool dockers? Should the ITF not making it clear even to the sort of Eton-educated twit who becomes a British diplomat that it IS supporting the dockers?

"The reason" for what?

Frankly, as a sympathetic non-docker, I want to know why the ITF has avoided mention of Liverpool in its reports of a world-wide protest that was organised on behalf of and at the behest of Liverpool dockers.
