Sailor's Union of the Pacific supports MUA

The Sailor's Union of the Pacific, at its headquarters meeting on April 13, unanimously passed a resolution in support of the Maritime Union of Australia in their struggle against Patrick Stevedore, and the Government of Australia.

The resolution called for communications with the MUA and Aus. Gov't reflecting this position as well as stating the readiness of the SUP to take "whatever action may become necessary in west coast ports" to support the strike effort. The SUP will act in concert with the ILWU, who have made similar pledges.

The resolution was written by myself, and seconded by Brother Fuentes and supported by Gunnar Lundeberg, SUP Sec'y-Treasurer.

Solidarity,
