Hi.
I'm Ros Campbell a member of the Maritime Union of Australia and I am greatly enthused by the solidarity by the members of the I.L.W.U. and their mass of supporters in blocking the unloading of ships loaded with scab labour.
The international solidarity shown, to my union has been tremendous. When you see solidarity and support like this it makes you feel proud to be a member of a union that has taken the capitalist establishment on in the endeavour to protect the rights of the working class throughout the world against the globalisation attack on the rights of the working class, who belong to a trade union, in their endeavor to erode the living standards and working conditions gained through the trade union movement.
The Multilateral Agreement on Investment that is now in Government committee stages here in Australia, will mean if signed that the globe will be run by a STAR CHAMBER to set the agenda, as to the way we are to live on this planet.IN FORCE FOR TWENTY YEARS. The atttack on the M.U.A. is just a taste of things to come if the profitees get their way.
Thank you again as member of the Martime Union of Australia for the stand that your organisation and the community are taking in solidarity with the Maritime Union .It goes to show what can be done when the working class unite.
