Yes it is time for the most powerful group of labor to revolt. We are the clerks of the West coast and we have spent many many years working for employers that take us for granted. I think I speak for damn near every clerk, supervisor, supercargo, that we have unrecognized power on the West coast.
It is time we join together and let the employer know that clerks can work safely too! As you clerks know there are many unsafe jobs that clerks do. Ask Brother Storvik who speeds around a container yard at night to give longies a break. I am sure that this goes on in every port and it is time to address this. Until the PMA recognises this fact all clerks should work safely until we get our recognition.
