I want to know how many longshoreman make $99.000.00 (other than steady men) per/year?? That figure is so much bullshit!! And you say thats AVERAGE??
I have been registered for 18 years a casual for 7 prior to that and I think my best year was $84.000.00 when I took no vacations and work every NIGHT possible that year. If you times $26 by 40 by 52 you get a little over half of $99.000.00 ($54.000.00). Now thats working 5 days a week EVERY week of the year. I am not counting overtime days or % increases for skill but christ give me a break I have to listen to this shit from the employer whom I expect to lie about me now fellow longies are spreading PMA lies too?? I know you are trying to explain the virtues of 401K but at least don’t compound the problem with bullshit salary figures, it only makes your case for them that much more deceiving..........
