I hear what you are saying. It has happened more than once in our port. I guess it is just human nature, the lure of the shortie. I was talking with a few of the brothers at the hall, expressing that on a short nite, we need to make the ship late, or run it into the next shift, they agreed. But when it come to the shortie, all reason goes out the window.
The announcement has been made, we are to go back to a normal safe operation ; not to speed up, and not to slow down, because we have some local issues to resolve. I would like to think we are on the same page, but I am not sure. The sentiment I hear is that we are.
Lets see what shakes out at the meeting on the 28th.
