Things are really heating up on the US West Coast as you can see from the report being attached to this fax. It would be really great if you could send faxes of support to ILWU locals and the ILWU International, Coast Committee and Negotiating Committee (numbers will follow down below).
Here in Sweden we are working on the final report from the Conference being held in Gothenburg and it will be sent to you all as soon as possible. The first meeting of the Working Party being set up in Gothenburg to work out all practical details of the Dockworkers International Committee to be able to have a constitutional conference before the end of 1999 is planned for the first week of September to be held in Liverpool. Maybe you might find this a bit late but it is very important at this stage to give the ILWU the time they need decide wheteher they will join the rest of us. More information will be sent out in due time.
