My prayers also go out to the family and I will pray for the full recovery of the Marine clerk.
I think that those truck drivers are driving WAY too fast. I am a casual & my little brother is a Foreman for Marine Ship Services he is 29 years old and was hit by one of those same irresponsible, fast driving, reckless truck drivers...on April 21st on his way to lunch going straight at the light with the right of way.
The accident happened at the intersection of Ferry & ?, can’t think of the name but I am sure that you know of it ...he was heading east crossing the light...heading to take the Vincent Thomas Bridge West. Well the truck driver was going west bound & decided to turn left on Ferry as my little brother was in the intersection. Needless to say.. he was VERY lucky to live ..his Little toyota pick up was 1/2 way under the truck cab and somehow he managed to crawl out with his right leg snapped completely in half and protruding through the skin, a broken pelvic & his left hip was also broke. He had numerous abrasions & cuts as well.
He is now learning how to walk again due to a reckless & unsafe truck driver. Who had nothing to say except, “I’m so sorry ...I didnt see him.” Well usually when you come to an intersection to turn left you are supposed to STOP! THEN WAIT TILL IT IS CLEAR. Well not only was he careless he was carrying an OVERWEIGHT LOAD.
So I understand what the family is going through. Again, I will say a prayer EVERYNIGHT for the victim and his family of this unfortunate accident.
