Our negotiating committee came back with an offer from the employers which was turned down by our membership by 85.33%.
Plus, the truckers who operate by load rate wish to be paid for the time they have to spend in line-ups at the docks. It’s all a matter of logistics and I feel they have a very valid point.
Of course, they have had “unofficial” picket lines up for the past two weeks to make their points. It is becoming rather interesting, to say the least.
