Let's hope that others will read your comments and truly give some serious union thought to this matter. United workforce is the key to the strength of a union. I believe that the side deals are a gigantic mistake.
Steadies should take a look at the jobs that they are costing the union by doing the work of two sometimes three men.
ILWU needs some serious mending . Hopefully some of you could get the ball rolling on these issues and do something about them before the fissures in your structure before it is too late.
