Here are some letters of support that I received through my website http://www.ilwu19.com

I thought you might like to read them.

I have a WTO protest page on-line at http://xendar.hypermart.net/wto/wto.htm

Right on with Longshoremen demonstrating support of organized labor’s protest against WTO in Seattle meeting. I whole heartedly support ILWU’s docks shutdown to illustrate labor unity protecting U.S. sovereignty

Hang tough guys. America is depending on her people to stand up for her. We are sending our jobs over seas and allowing them to send Third World country police states over here. If we don’t start using more of our freedoms, we stand a good chance on loosing them all. God Bless and give ’em hell !!

Hello, I’m not a union member and don’t know beans about maritime issues, but just wanted to say GOOD FOR YOU to all ILWU members for having the courage to help protest the WTO meeting in Seattle.

We’re all proud of your efforts on behalf of workers, and we support you 100%!

The Lawson Family

Thanks guys for standing up for the working people of America. Putting up a united front makes each of us strong and I am proud to be a part of organized labor.

I wanted to offer my personal thank you for your massive stand against the WTO. I am sure the majority of Americans find your efforts as applaudable as I do.

Today’s actions by this union may be some of the most significant acts any participant does to support democracy, environmental protection and workers’ rights for years to come. Thanks.

I wish I could be in Seattle to join the demonstrations. In my opinion, only the dangerously uninformed and ignorant people condemn these demonstrations and support the WTO when they know nothing about what it entails. I do not belong to a union and am a semi-retired professional, but I am a history buff and keep abreast to world and national events. These internationalist organizations deprive any member nation of its sovereignty. The idea of One World Government or President Bushs’s “New World Order” frightens me to death.

I haven’t always agreed with Union actions, but this time-
