Cape: the ACTSA Campaign

Action for Southern Africa (ACTSA) is campaigning for justice for all South Africans affected by Cape’s operations.

The campaign has won the support of hundreds of individuals and many trade unions.

ACTSA are stepping up pressure on Cape and its shareholders to ensure that those who have suffered through Cape’s negligence get the justice they deserve.

As Cape is a British company and made profits here, we believe it should be held accountable for its operations in the British Courts. We are concerned that as the company are stalling more people are suffering with little or no medical care and dying.

The demands

We call upon Cape to:

  • Face the South African claims in the British Courts without further delay; compensate those who are found to have suffered through the company’s negligence;
  • Contribute to the clean-up operation in the polluted areas
