On behalf of the more than 75, 000 Registered Nurses represented by the California Nurses Association/ National Nurses Organizing Committee (CNA/NNOC), I write to offer our strong support for your stand in support of Karen Reissmann, RN, and against the privatization of the National Health Service.

We stand beside you in your struggle for justice. Your fight against the breakup of Britain’s universal healthcare runs parallel to our fight for everyone in America to receive medical services, regardless of their ability to pay.

We are all waging a war against the corporations who seek profit from healthcare. We all share the goal of providing medical treatment for those who need it without worrying about the next move by hospital administrators, the lack of resources or the cost of treatment. We fight every day to uphold the professional standards of care that Registered Nurses provide because we understand that the welfare of our patients is at stake.

Nurses are the best advocates for their patients. Stand strong in your fight knowing that our Registered Nurses are beside you. We wish you every success.
